Two weeks after his victory in Marbella, Dreitz is hungry for more: In the French city Aix-en-Provence he wants to repeat his performance.

With his victory at IRONMAN 70.3 Marbella he could already qualify for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice. Now he is travelling to France to face another demanding half distance race.

Sunday at 7:30 am, the gun will get off for the pro athletes at the swim start in Peyrolles-en-Provence. The bike course with 1184 meters of altitude will lead the athletes to Aix-en-Provence, where the final half marathon has to be finished. Andi already knew the course from his early triathlon career. In 2012 he took part at the race and finished 9th.

Unfortunately, the weather in Germany was wet and chilly the last days, and Andi had a cold a few days ago. But he is confident that he will be fit for the race on Sunday.

The start list of the race is dominated by a lot of French names, but also some German athletes will toe the line. Besides Andi Dreitz, the last year’s winner Andi Böcherer, Andreas Raelert and Markus Thomschke will race.
