Finally, Andi was able to do a triathlon again and could right away finish with a good 3rd place.

After a journey that wasn't easy, the Ironman 70.3 in Tallinn was on the program today. The race in the Estonian capital was the first European 70.3 this year and had a verry strong starter field.

After a good swim on 8th place, Andi started his catching up on the leader Daniel Baekkgård.  Except for Sebastian Kienle, he could shake off the other athletes and reached the T2 15 seconds behind the leader. Only after a few kilometers you could tell what the podium would look like and Andi came in 3rd with a solid run. The young Danish Daniel Baekkgård took the win today ahead of Sebastian Kienle.

Andi after crossing the finish line: “I am super happy to finally be able to race again after such a long time and then the podium is a good reward for the work of the last weeks and months. Even if I couldn’t play my cards 100% today, I'm very happy with my performance and I’m looking forward to more races. "
