Daniela Bleymehl will represent Challenge Family as an ambassador in 2019 and announced to be racing Challenge Salou on April 7th as well as The Championships in Samorin at June 2nd. The 30 year old German already declared her appearance at Challenge Heilbronn (May 19th), a race she won in 2017 and 2018. Looking back at previous experiences at Challenge Family races, Bleymehl is happy about her new role in 2019:
"I am very happy to be an ambassador of Challenge Family in 2019. Many of my best moments in my triathlon career have been at Challenge races. As you can imagine, the peak was my win at Challenge Roth last season, when a dream came true, but also my two victories at Challenge Heilbronn in the last two years and many other experiences are a great motivation for my daily training. The relationship between the athletes, the volunteers and organizers is just great and therefore a start at the Challenge races is always big fun. That's why I am really honored to be selected as an ambassador for the upcoming season."
Debut at a 60 kilometer cross country skiing race
Daniela Bleymehl spent ten days in Club La Santa on Lanzarote alongside her teammates from Erdinger Alkoholfrei and put special attention on her cycling training: "This was my only opportunity to get a lot of miles in before my first race at Challenge Salou so that's why my coach made me to do a lot of volume on the bike. Especially for the long rides it is very helpful and nice to be surrounded by teammates."
At the end of next week the German will be heading to Austria to add cross country skiing to her training routine and is looking forward to a premiere. She will be racing Tannheimer Tal Skimarathon, a cross county skiing race over 60 kilometers in length. "I really like skiing and practice it regularly but I have never took part in a race. It will be a whole new experience for me that I am looking forward to."
