Daniela Sämmler Joins Swiss Side Pro Team
Professional triathlete, Daniela Sämmler (29) of Germany has joined the Swiss Side professional team. Sämmler joins fellow “ERDINGER Alkoholfrei” team colleagues Patrick Lange, Andreas and Michael Raelert, Laura Philipp and Julia Gajer who are all now on the Swiss Side team. Swiss Side aerodynamics experts will work with Sämmler’s entire bike-rider system and optimize it to ensure she has even faster bike-splits in the future.
It was a well-thought-out decision for Sämmler to work with the number one brand in aerodynamics. “I am very much looking forward to the partnership with Swiss Side. My first experience out on the road made me realize that Swiss Side aero wheels operate in a different league regarding speed and handling. During my last track test, the HADRON Ultimate 800 set proved to be the fastest wheel combination compared to anything else I’ve tested. I can’t wait for the race season to start.”
With Sämmler, Swiss Side is adding a strong cyclist to the pro team. Jean-Paul Ballard, Swiss Side CEO and Technical Director looks forward to working with her. “I want to help her improve her bike-splits and we will be engaging the entire engineering team’s aero knowledge from Formula 1 racing to make it happen. With the help of our aero wheels and the aero-optimization of the entire bike-rider system, we want to save Daniela valuable minutes on the 180km long bike course. She will also be able to save energy due to the drag reduction and the effort-saving which comes from the handling of our wheels. This will make for a faster marathon in the end,” says Ballard.
Both parties aim to make this year faster and more successful for Sämmler who was Ironman Hamburg winner in 2017.
Sämmler is training in Lanzarote right now with her “ERDINGER Alkoholfrei” team colleagues and is soaking up the Spanish sunshine. On February 23rd 2018, Sämmler will be at the Triathlon Convention Europe in Langen Germany, where Swiss Side will take the NEXT STEP with the launch of their new wheel collection… and something more…
