Swiss Side invested considerable time and effort in the development of the Hadron 625, and it’s possible to feel the benefits of an extensive wind tunnel testing programme on the road in the ability of the wheel set to retain speed on flat and undulating roads. Swiss Side founder Jean-Paul Ballard is an aerodynamicist with the Sauber Formula One team by day and the Hadron 625, which combines an aluminium braking track with a carbon shroud, measure 62.5mm deep in a design which adopts a toroidal profile to improve crosswind stability, and 23mm wide, which in turn allows the tyre to adopt a broad footprint on the road.
