Swiss Side Expands & Strengthens Team For The 2019 Season

All of Swiss Side’s current athletes have been renewed for 2019 and two exciting new athletes have been added.

Back to back Ironman World Champion Patrick Lange (32) is counting on the successful cooperation with Swiss Side for another two years. “Jean-Paul and the Swiss Side team are the measure of aerodynamics,” says Lange. “Using techniques developed from F1 engineering, Project 101 has improved my aerodynamics on the bike allowing me to win the Ironman World Championships in Kona in under eight hours. This only happens if you work with developers who are always innovative, quick and driven by the search to always improve.”

The following athletes have renewed their contracts with Swiss Side: Andreas Raelert (42) and Michael Raelert (38) as well as Laura Philipp (31), Daniela Bleymehl (30) and JuliaGajer (36). Daniela Ryf (31, DT Swiss Aerodynamics by Swiss Side Athlete) will continue to work with Swiss Side on aero optimisation. Up andcoming athletes, in the Team Erdinger Alkoholfrei will be outfitted with Swiss Side HADRON Aero Wheels. 

Swiss Side is proud to announce the addition of Andreas Dreitz and Maurice Clavel to the team for 2019! 

Andreas Dreitz (30) - Bayreuth, Germany - With more than ten middle distance triathlon wins. For 2019, he looks to continue his mission to compete and win the Ironman World Championship in Kona. “I’m really looking forward to working with Swiss Side,” says Dreitz. “As they are number one in aerodynamics. With the meticulous tests in the wind tunnel and on the road and their strong knowhow, Swiss Side is the current benchmark for Aero wheel testing and development. Thank you Swiss Side for making me even faster.”

Maurice Clavel (31) - Freiburg, Germany - In 2018, Maurice won the Ironman 70.3 Vichy  and took third place at Ironman South Africa. For 2019, he has his sights set on winning his qualifying race for the Ironman World Championship in Kona and finishing in the top 10. "Swiss Side stands for innovation and advancement in the aerodynamics of cycling wheels,” says Maurice. “The desire to push the limits of what is possible every day and to improve performance is what unites us. I’m very proud and grateful to be a part of the Swiss Side family.”
