"As you would expect from a company specializing in aerodynamics, Swiss Side designed the HADRON Classic 485 to be fast–but not at the expense of rideability. By focusing on stability and predictable handling in windy conditions, this wheelset allows you to stay in an aerodynamic position for longer. After all, aero wheels aren’t much good if they force you to ride in an upright position, with your body catching wind like a sail. In real world conditions, the stability is noticeable: these wheels track straight in most wind conditions you’ll encounter, even for small riders, and carve confidently through descents. Simply put, they’re a joy to ride.

These wheels offer incredible, easy to handle aerodynamics at a great price. There are trade-off’s however – wet braking, tire volume and weight. Of course, for those seeking cutting edge aero at entry level carbon prices, the Swiss Side Classic 485 is a great option."

ULTRA-AERO FRONT HUB
Size is everything! The Swiss Side front hub features a minimal design for ultimate in aerodynamic performance. A cylinder is the worst aerodynamic shape for drag and frontal area is the enemy. Therefore the front hub diameter is sized as small as possible without compromising in bearing longevity, rolling resistance, or overall stiffness, to give the maximum possible performance. Minimum size also = Minimum weight, with our aluminium forged and CNC post-machined front hub weighing in at only 74g!
Deep groove cartridge bearings and tolerance matched hub assembly means no pre-load, no adjustment, just trouble-free riding.

SPOKE TENSION OPTIMISED REAR HUB
The Swiss Side rear hub is designed to offer an even balanced spoke tension between drive and non-drive sides. This ensures superior handling (no lateral rim movement with bump) as well as longer life for both hub and rim due to reduced overall spoke tension. The aluminum rear hub is forged and CNC post-machined with triple-pawl, micro-shuffle drive freehub, weighing in at 218g.

HIGH MODULUS CARBON FIBRE ...
Using composite FEM optimized carbon fibre laminates, including high modulus fibres, Swiss Side wheels are optimized for the ultimate balance of stiffness, strength, robustness and light weight construction.
2-PIECE STRUCTURAL CONTROL
Swiss Side’s 2-piece structure allows for lighter weight construction and better independent tuning of the lateral and vertical stiffness characteristics. Result: comfort (vertical compliance) without loss in power transfer (lateral stiffness).
EPIC SOUNDTRACK

ULTRA THIN GRAPHICS FINISH
As in Formula 1 and the aviation industry, smooth surface finish is imperative for minimising the drag on cycling wheels. For this reason, Swiss Side graphics are applied with ultra thin, step-less transfer technology decals, applied directly onto the carbon fibre surface, just like on Formula 1 car wings.

Using composite FEM optimized carbon fibre laminates, including high modulus fibres, Swiss Side wheels are optimized for the ultimate balance of stiffness, strength, robustness and light weight construction.
CERAMIC BEARINGS
Swiss Side HADRON Ultimate wheels come as standard with industry leading Enduro ceramic hybrid deep groove cartridge bearings. ABEC-5 tolerances and LLB seals with Graphite Nylon retainers are premium features that are not available in other brand ceramic hybrid bearings at two or even five times the cost. Oversized Silicon Nitride Grade 5 balls and cryogenic treatment of the ABEC-5 races ensure long lasting, smooth rolling bearings for greater durability and ultimate speed.

The HADRON Ultimate features a tubeless ready carbon clincher construction. Pre-installed with light weight, high strength rim tape, and supplied with tubeless ready value with extensions.
